Over the summer months, Michael Hischer’s kinetic large-scale sculptures turn the historic site of the citadel into an open-air art space. 20 selected works from a multi-year cycle will be shown.
By consciously placing the objects on the site of the citadel, visitors are invited to set themselves in motion and experience art in the field of tension between nature, historical architecture and their own point of view.
The artist, Michael Hischer, talks to Dr. Ralf F. Hartmann and Maria Weber on the various locations on the ramparts and in the courtyards of the citadel.
