“Shell we talk?” with Susanne Specht

Thursday 30.9.2021
Beginning: 18.00

Price 0 €

Also in November we would like to welcome you – as always on the last Thursday of the month – and ask you the question “Shell we talk?”.

With her exhibition “ab ovo oder eine Geschichte vom Anfang an”, the sculptor Susanne Specht opens up a broad and fascinating view of her work from around 30 years. Starting with fascinating eclogite stone work from the 1990s, the conversation between the artist and presenter Laura Seidel is devoted to modular works in materials such as concrete and sheet metal through to filigree spatial objects made of cellular rubber.

Susanne Specht (born 1958 in Saarbrücken) studied sculpture with Michael Schoenholtz at the Berlin HdK and is now a professor at the Fachhochschule Niederrhein in Krefeld. She lives in Krefeld and Berlin and works in a Spandau studio.

In an open discussion, Susanne Specht and Laura Seidel will delve into the “story from the beginning” with you “ab ovo”. The focus is on a relaxed exchange, informative discussions and a cultural start to the evening. So let’s lean back, turn on the synapses, tip our tongues and activate the earpiece – “Shell we talk?”
