Wednesday 4.3.2026 7.00 p.m. - 10.00 p.m.
The exhibition, whose title refers to a song from Canadian singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith’s 2020 album Hermitage, aims to subtly but clearly demonstrate that it is worthwhile to continue pursuing one’s own perspective in every situation in life, every social or political challenge that humans face. This means facing the world with hope and not giving up, regardless of one’s current state of mind. The song lyric underscores the complexity of human existence in the world, but also the diversity of artistic views and aesthetic orientations.
The exhibition shows works by Berlin-based artists from the fields of painting, sculpture, video, and sound, dealing with themes ranging from resistance to tyranny, anger, and defense against gestures of power to poetic strategies of de-escalation. It offers a wide range of attitudes characterized by a high degree of attention to current political events.
