Children’s birthday party

For children and teenagers from 6 to 12 years

CARNIVAL AT THE CASTLE

Who lived in the castle in the past and who is still at home here today? In the exhibition in the Kommandantenhaus, the children learn more about the history of the castle and fortress and get lots of ideas for very different masks. Who or what do you want to be? A knight fighting a dragon in the fortress? Or one of the ghosts hiding in the July tower? A beautiful bat that has lived here for many years? Or a previously unknown castle creature that imaginatively moves through the rooms? In the workshop, children make their own masks out of paper, fabric and cardboard. With them, the children practice the movements and postures of their characters. And then the big parade of the birthday party starts on the grounds of the Citadel. All together experience the great architecture of the fortress with places where the children can play their chosen roles. Photo and video recordings of the art action are expressly permitted!
