The exhibition project Urban Reflections examines the city with its urban “images” and public space as a metaphor, medium and matrix for current, socially relevant developments.

Urban Reflections uses specific interventions in the spatial situations of the ZAK to create installative microcosms that invite viewers to constructively enter into a dialog with the art and thus – similar to an adventure playground – to continue building their own reality.

It is only through the actions of the audience, through the thoughts and feelings reflected in the installations, that spaces of possibility open up, the place is brought to life and bridges are built to our here and now. Simone Zaugg’s artistic interventions overcome the ambivalence of inside and outside, of art and life, by creating “speaking” spaces.
