CARNIVAL AT THE CASTLE

Who used to live in the castle, and who still calls it home today? In the exhibition at the Commandant’s House, you will learn more about the history of the castle and fortress and get plenty of ideas for creating all kinds of different masks.

Who or what do you want to be? A female knight fighting a dragon in the fortress? Or one of the ghosts hiding in the Julius Tower? A beautiful bat that has lived here for many years? Or perhaps a previously unknown castle creature moving imaginatively through the rooms?

In the workshop, participants will create their own masks using paper and cardboard. Wax crayons, felt-tip pens, and felt fabric will also be available. Once all the masks are finished, we will take a group photo.

The exhibit tastes terrible

For those who want to discover the citadel in a more unconventional way, we recommend our alternative Audiowalk. This was created in cooperation between the artist collective hannsjana and pupils of the Freie Waldorfschule Havelhöhe. Supported with funds from the Project Fund for Cultural Education.

You can borrow the Audiowalk at the Zitadelle cash desk for 2,- EUR.
