Guided Tour | Living together in medieval Spandau

Zitadelle

Saturday 16.3.2024 3.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m.

At the foot of the oldest secular building in Berlin, the Archaeological Window displays the oldest known medieval Jewish gravestones in the Berlin area, which were probably removed from the Jewish cemetery in Spandau in the 15th century and used for the construction of the castle. What do the gravestones tell us about the diverse urban society in medieval Spandau?
