Guided Tour in „Zeitfelder / Time Fields“

Schaudepot (Display depot)

Thursday 11.6.2026 6.00 p.m. - 7.00 p.m.

Since 2021, the Schaudepot at the Citadel has housed controversial monuments and sculptures. The exhibition builds on the themes of “Enthüllt. Berlin und seine Denkmäler” (Unveiled: Berlin and Its Monuments), but takes a bold new approach: while the objects remain the same, the perspective shifts—each year, the spaces are reimagined and curated anew.

This year, the artists Pfelder, Simone Zaugg, and Amer al Akel engage with the historical objects. In the guided tour through the exhibition “Zeitfelder / Time Fields,” artists Zaugg and Pfelder present their concept of veiling, wrapping, and planting around the monuments. Additionally, through the contemporary sculptures by Syrian artist al Akel, they open a dialogue about the culture of remembrance in Germany’s migration society.

The tour will be in German, with an English translation provided if required.
