At the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic, outstanding young musicians are prepared for artistic work in a top orchestra. The academy’s educational philosophy is particularly evident in the concert series “Carte blanche – Berlin, listen up!”. The young musicians perform outside the orchestra as soloists or in ensembles. They select the pieces and put together the program themselves: carte blanche in the truest sense of the word.
The special feature of the new concert series »Carte blanche – Berlin, listen up!« is that Five concerts a year take place in the musical heart of Berlin, in the Chamber Music Hall of the Philharmonie, and five concerts at different locations in Berlin: in Reinickendorf, Pankow, Britz, Köpenick, and Spandau.
