TWIST – Artisttalk Anette Rose with Prof. Dr. Hanne Loreck

Old Barrack, 2nd floor

Wednesday 17.7.2024 7.00 p.m. - 9.00 p.m.

Anette Rose’s video installations are part of her long-term project of an encyclopaedia of handling. They focus both on mechanical production processes and on the body language of people performing various manual tasks. She uses different recording methods for her observations: video, motion capturing, slow motion, diagrams, photography and sound. A special feature of her installations is the re-synchronisation of sequences filmed with several cameras simultaneously.
The exhibition TWIST shows the three work complexes Captured Motion, Pattern in Motion and Nest Building, whose unifying theme is textile practices. In addition to machines that weave, braid and knit, weaver birds are also shown building nests.
Artist Anette Rose and art theorist Hanne Loreck will talk about this and other aspects of textiles.
