The German Partition in Spandau from the Stasi’s Perspective

6.3.2020 – 16.8.2020

Bastion Kronprinz

The Jugendgeschichtswerkstatt Spandau (History Workshop for Youth in Spandau) has spent several years researching the archive of the “Federal Commissioner for Stasi Documents“ for any Stasi activity in Spandau. The supervision of the border between East and West Germany has been of special interest, however the role of the Stasi in all of Spandau has been looked into just as much. The exhibition shows a selection of the research results which have been gathered by students of the Lily-Braum secondary school and the Freiherr-vom-Stein secondary school during the last few years. Additionally, the exhibition includes some models of the Berlin Wall in Spandau which have been prepared by the History Workshop’s model construction forum.
