Sunday 5.7.2026 4.00 p.m. - 7.00 p.m.
“soft corps” is a speculative reenactment in the form of a queer occupation of the Spandau Citadel. Participants drift through collective interventions, choreographed scenes, and immersive soundscapes. They are invited to actively inscribe themselves into the emerging chronologies through their bodies, voices, and actions. In the process, the historically militarized and male-dominated space of the fortress complex is renegotiated.
Following a joint introduction to LARP, participants are invited to move freely between situational spaces within the citadel and to let their own narrative connections emerge. The performance concludes with a collective ritual; afterward, there is an opportunity to reflect on the experiences together over a drink and bring the evening to a close.
The project is being developed with the support of the Spandau Citadel and is funded by the “Fonds Dezentrale Kulturarbeit des Bezirks Spandau von Berlin” as well as by the “HfS Ernst
Busch” as part of the “Spiel und Objekt” program. The project is part of the “SEAM Festival 2026.”
Notes on Participation
“soft corps” is intended to be a collective and discrimination-sensitive space. Therefore, respectful interaction with one another is expected; no form of racist, queerphobic, sexist, anti-Semitic, ableist, or otherwise discriminatory behavior will be tolerated.
The project will be documented through video and photography. By entering the performance, participants agree to be visible in the documentation. If you do not wish to be included, please let us know in advance or on-site.
Part of the performance will take place outdoors. Since participants will be dressing up together and moving around the citadel during the performance, comfortable
clothing and shoes are recommended.
It is recommended to participate from the start. However, joining late or leaving early is possible at any time.
