In conversation with Kenneth Hartvigsen – a friend of the artist and curator of the exhibition Musical Manifestations (2011, Museum School Boston) – we will reflect on his collaboration with Ellen Banks. Hartvigsen will share personal insights into her working methods, her position within American art history, and the curatorial approach to her musically abstract visual language.
