Fifteen women in Spandau participated in the documentation of individual migration stories.

By recording their memories and writing their individual stories, the women from Syria and Afghanistan not only deal with their past, but also provide an authentic source of knowledge for the documentation of current migration history.

These fragmented narratives of migration from Afghanistan and Syria elude literary form and become testimonies to individual life journeys. The narrative of the victim is replaced by a narrative of the witnesses. The reading makes it clear: We find historical testimonies here. They are true and not objective, because everything you hear has happened to people around us – people who are rebuilding their dreams and re-sorting their memories.
