Free of charge: Family Sunday on the Spandau Citadel

There is no longer a Museum Sunday, but there is a Family Sunday at Spandau Citadel! We cordially invite you to visit Spandau Citadel free of charge on this day and stroll around the grounds, take part in guided tours or go on a free scavenger hunt with your family. On this day, visitors should have the opportunity to get to know our offers and use them free of charge.

On this day there is a varied free program on the citadel:

14:00: Tour of the exhibition Vom Teilen – Kunst an der (polnisch-deutschen) Grenze with some of the participating artists and the curators Burcu Dogramaci and Marta Smolinska at the ZAK Center for Contemporary Art (in German).

14:00: Reading for children from the age of four: The story of the little fish Blitzi (in German). The reading will take place in the Bastion Kronprinz.

15:00: Tour of the exhibition O Futuro Ja Era by the Goethe-Institut Luanda / Angola (in German) with Matthias Hinke at the ZAK Center for Contemporary Art.

15:00: Every first Sunday of the month, we invite kids aged four and over with their siblings, friends, grandparents and parents to take part in activities in the museums and exhibitions at the Citadel. After a tour of the exhibition, creative work is carried out in the education and mediation room. The meeting point is in the entrance area of the Citadel.

15:30: Tour of the exhibition The Symmetry of the Dancing Opossum (in German) with media artist Harald Fuchs at the ZAK Center for Contemporary Art.

In addition, an English tour of the Citadel and a scenic tour of the Citadel will be offered at 2 p.m. for €4.50 each.
